Phetchaburi is one of the centre region province in Thailand that is about 120 kilometers south west of Bangkok. Geographically, it lies on the western part of the gulf of Thailand; the coast line forming part of its eastern border. The province of Zamboanga del Sur occupies an area of about 6, 225.00 square kilometer having relatively flat coastal plains, productive valleys and mountainous forest lands.

The province is blessed with water resources through the Phetchaburi River which flows down from western mountains and estuaries into the Gulf of Thailand, which is perhaps the most important water resource in the agricultural and local people’s life. Phetchaburi province’s eastern coastal side has beaches and a mangrove forest, while the western part has the Tenasserim mountain range; with Kaeng Krachan National Park which is the largest park in the country. These diverse conditions make the province’s resources diverse and support the great number of plant and animal species, so the natural conservation in the area becomes an important issue.
The Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Khiri / Khao Wang Palace.
Located on the mountain over the Phetchaburi city, Phra Nakhon Khiri better known as Khao Wang was the palace compound constructed in the 19th century by king Rama IV. The Seventh Royal City of Mukdahan boasts royal halls, temp1es, and observatories al of which are erected in Thai-European-Chinese architectural designs. Kaeng Krachan National Park is recognized as the largest national park of Thailand and it has area of more than 2,900 square kilometers of virgin forest and highlands. Several wild animals such as elephants, tigers and several types of birds can also be found in the park. Some of the activities include; trekking, birding, and tent pitching among other exciting things that customers can engage in during their stay at this tourists’ attraction site. The attraction of the park is the Kaeng Krachan Dam which forms a wonderful man-made lake for boating and fishing trips.
Phetchaburi Riverside Market
